We have been serving the Northern Kettle Moraine since the spring of 1994. Mountain Outfitters offers a wide range of skiing, snowboarding, and biking products and services. Our professionally trained staff can answer questions about equipment as well as where to ride or ski locally no matter what your skill level.
Located in the historic downtown West Bend, Mountain Outfitters is conveniently close to downhill skiing at Sunburst Ski Area and cross country skiing in the Northern Kettle Moraine Forest at Zillmer Trails, Greenbush Trails, and New Fane Trails. Mountain Outfitters is located less than one-quarter mile from the Eisenbahn State Bike Trail and is just minutes from the mountain bike trails and scenic roads of the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest. Maps and trail descriptions are available online and in the store.
The ski shop offers a wide range of sales, repair, and high-performance tuning services. The rental shop offers both downhill, cross country ski, and snowshoe equipment. To best suit your needs, rental equipment comes with daily, weekend, weekly, and even seasonal rates.
The Mountain Outfitters bike shop advantage is our commitment to customer satisfaction. All bikes purchased come with a one year free service guarantee - all labor on repairs is free for the first year combined with the manufacturer's frame and component warranties. This means your new bike will be repaired for free for the first full year by a professional mechanic. Mountain Outfitters offers custom bicycles from Moots, Kent Erickson, and Ventana built from the frame up for high-performance and racing.

We sponsor Team BONK a racing team in the Wisconsin Off-Road Series (WORS) and the Wisconsin Endurance Mountain Bike Series (WEMS), and Team rides are open to anyone who wants to participate. You can also check out the Washington County Bicycle Club for community rides and more fun!
